According to WHOIS data, California-based health tech company DaoCloud has just acquired the Heal.me domain name via Sedo for $43,000.
DaoCloud, founded in 2014, is the largest national network of vetted wellness practitioners. The company shouldn’t be confused with DaoCloud, a Shanghai-based cloud computing firm that has raised $14.6 million in funding. California’s DaoCloud has raised $1.2 million in funding, according to Crunchbase.
As reported by Sedo today, the sale of Heal.me for $43,000 ranks as the 9th largest .ME sale of all time, according to NameBio data. It is also the 2nd largest .ME sale of 2020, beaten by Just.me’s $50,000 sales price in September. Heal.me represents just the 3rd five-figure .ME sale of 2020.
Could the confusion between California’s DaoCloud and Shanghai’s DaoCloud be a reason for the acquisition? Is California’s DaoCloud about to rebrand to Heal.me?
The logical .COM equivalent, HealMe.com, is owned by an individual in New York who used to run a company called Healme LLC.
Thanks for sharing James!
That’s a great sale and I’m happy to see it.
By the way, your title says the sale amount for $43,000 whereas in the post it written “DaoCloud has just acquired the Heal.me domain name via Sedo for $45,000″
So is it $43K or $45K?
Thanks for spotting the typo. Fixed.
NameBio lists it as a $43,000 sale.
Thanks for the quick fix.
A great sale nonetheless.
