Report: Newz.com Sells for $70,000

Founder of EmpireNames.com, Riz Memon, has just reported the sale of Newz.com for $70,000. Acquired by Riz for $15,500 just three months ago, Newz.com has now been sold for a significant profit.

According to a LinkedIn post from Riz, the deal for Newz.com was facilitated through registrar Epik and it’s CEO, Rob Monster.

The buyer of Newz.com is currently unknown, with the name under WHOIS privacy protection at Epik. The name could be used as a brandable, alternate spelling to “News,” but it may also have been acquired by Fredaikis AB, a game developer that operates a popular game called The New Z, currently hosted at PlayNewZ.com.

Riz’s sale of Newz.com comes on the back of his sale of Roze.com for $68,000, a similar four-letter .COM name with an alternative spelling.

The sale hasn’t been independently verified by myself, so this is purely a report on publicly disclosed information.
