The third publicly-disclosed six-figure .IO sale has been reported by Park.io. Behind Andrew Rosener’s MediaOptions’ $175,000 sale of Metaverse.io, there are now two $100,000 reported sales of Meta.io and now Auction.io.
Among recent sales at Park.io, a marketplace and drop catching service for various domain extensions, we can see sales such as Fireball.io for $2,505, Parralax.io for $3,525, and Casino.lc for $1,560. Standing out from the crowd, though, is a $100,000 sale of Auction.io.
According to WHOIS history, the name recently moved registrars from Humbly LLC to GoDaddy, although Auction.io lists Introvert.com LLC as the registered owner. Introvert.com LLC is owned and operated by Mike Carson, founder of Park.io.
Mike registered the name in 2013, and confirmed the sale to me in an email. According to Mike, this was an inbound transaction.
The $100,000 sale of Auction.io has been added to NameBio’s database.
Auction.io is the second six-figure .IO sale disclosed in the past month along with Meta.io, which was also sold by Mike Carson and brokered by the aforementioned Media Options. Other significant .IO sales from the past month include Skin.io at $49,999, Greet.io at $29,999, and Palm.io at $25,000.
