Brent Oxley is a prolific buyer of premium .COM domain names, which is why I cover his purchases on a regular basis at JamesNames.com. Here is the first of a two-part series looking at Oxley’s most recent purchases.
Separate.com
Separate.com was acquired by Oxley in May 2021, according to WHOIS history. The domain has numerous potential uses including in the lucrative divorce attorney niche, where the domain could make for an impressive call-to-action name. “Separate” is Googled 135,000 times per month according to one estimate. It is, according to Grammarly, one of the most commonly misspelled words in the English language, which may affect its value.
Shade.com
There’s little ambiguity about the spelling of shade, a five-letter, common English word .COM domain that Oxley purchased in May 2021. DomainIQ’s WHOIS history shows that the domain was acquired from Webmagic Ventures LLC. Oxley has previously acquired Aquarium.com, Motivate.com, and HealthSpa.com from that company. Shade.com joins other five-letter .COM names in Oxley’s portfolio including Album.com, Piano.com, and Storm.com.
Invert.com
Invert is a verb defined as “to put upside down or in the opposite position, order, or arrangement.” This domain was acquired by Oxley, again in mid-May 2021. WHOIS history suggests that Oxley bought the name from the original owner of Invert.com. Archive.org shows that the name was once used as the home of an online radio station named Invert Radio. The domain is now for sale at Oxley’s Efty marketplace with a minimum offer value of $200,000.
