In January 2021, Home.com changed hands in one of the most notable domain sales of the past few years. First reported by DomainInvesting.com, the Home.com domain was sold by its owner, Anything.com, in a deal brokered by Larry Fischer.
The buyer was Fairway Independent Mortgage Company, a mortgage corporation based in Wisconsin with branches across the United States. Fairway, represented by broker Andrew Miller, quickly put the name to use by adding a lead generation site to Home.com.
That site has featured on the domain ever since, but Fairway has now gone one step further with its adoption of Home.com by promoting it in a TV commercial.
In the commercial, titled “Gladiator,” Fairway prominently places the Home.com domain name on screen at the end of the commercial, with the tagline “Fairway will get you home.”
Fairway has opted to use the Home.com domain over the Fairway.com name that it also acquired this year. Here’s the commercial:
