Domain marketplace Sedo recently revealed that it facilitated the sale of Fume.com, a valuable single-word .com, for $160,000. The domain was sold via Sedo’s senior broker, Dave Evanson, who added Fume.com to his roster of sizable sales in 2021 that includes Angel.com for $2 million, and Zag.com for $450,000.
When the news of the Fume.com sale broke, the domain’s buyer was unknown with the domain moving to the possession of Empire Funding of New York before switching to a privacy-protected GoDaddy account.
Now, though, the buyer has been revealed. Fume.com was acquired by Fume, also known as Fume Vape, a relatively new vaping brand that is based in South Carolina. The news was also confirmed by Sedo’s Dave Evanson via Twitter:

Before acquiring Fume.com, the company was operating on OfficialFume.com, but it seems that the company wasn’t happy on the sub-par domain. Since acquiring Fume.com, the company has wasted little time moving its website over to the new domain.
