GoDaddy’s domain name marketplace, Afternic, has facilitated the sale of the Buoyancy.com domain name to get one portfolio holder’s year off to a great start.
Buoyancy.com, a single-word domain, sold for $50,000 in a deal confirmed to me by the domain’s former owner, Domaincracy, LLC. This is the latest sizable sale from Domaincracy, which sold Eth.club for $200,000 in September 2021.
Defined as “an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of a partially or fully immersed object,” buoyancy is a keyword taken in 39 extensions, according to DotDB. The domain’s buyer is unknown, as the domain is registered under WHOIS privacy protection.
However, there is a company called Buoyancy Works, which operates on Buoyancy.works. Acquiring Buoyancy.com could be a strategic upgrade for this company.
A $50,000 sales price for Buoyancy.com is an impressive figure to achieve. In terms of comparable sales, Buoyed.com sold for $2,900 in 2019, while the singular Buoy.com sold for $110,000 in the same year.
