Domain marketplace Sedo has long been a popular destination for domain owners looking to sell domain names. In this article, I’m going to show you how to use the range of landing pages and parked pages on offer at Sedo.
Before using Sedo’s landing pages, you’ll need to make sure that your domain is active and verified at Sedo. You can add domains here.
To point your domain name to a Sedo landing page, you’ll need to change your nameservers at your domain name registrar. The nameservers will need to be changed to show “NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM” and “NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM.”
This change can be verified by going to whois.com/whois and entering the domain you’ve just amended. You’ll then be shown the live WHOIS listing for your domain. If your nameserver change was successful, that should be reflected in the “Name Server” field:
Your domain name(s) will now be pointing to Sedo’s marketplace. To change your domain’s landing page layout, and to determine whether you use a parking page (with adverts) or a landing page displaying an offer field or a “buy now” price, you need to navigate to the “My Domains” section, here.
Change your view to “Parking Optimization”:
Then, you can change your landing page option, either individually or in bulk, using the “layouts” column. Both parking and sales landing pages are available from this column:
As of publishing, Sedo has a range of 4 parking page layouts and 14 sales landing page layouts to choose from.
Disclosure: Sedo is a sponsor of JamesNames, but I was not paid to write this article.
