Cryptocurrency companies are likely buyers of one-word .com domains. Since the beginning of 2021, Swan.com, Exodus.com, and Tent.com have all been acquired by crypto wallet providers. Now, another one-word domain has moved into the hands of a cryptocurrency company.
Ballet, a Las Vegas-based company, was founded in 2019 by Bobby Lee, an entrepreneur that founded Bitcoin exchange BTCC in 2011 before selling it in 2018. Lee’s new company, Ballet, offers physical cryptocurrency wallets with a companion app that serves as a digital interface for physical Ballet products.
Ballet’s acquisition of Ballet.com was spotted by Jamie Zoch, who reports that the domain held a landing page for brokerage company Saw.com before it changed hands:
Ballet Cryptocurrency does a big time domain name upgrade and acquires https://t.co/AVhGrR27ug . The crypto startup was using BalletCrypto․com but branding simply as Ballet. The domain name had a Saw․com landing page on the domain prior to selling.

Ballet.com marks a significant upgrade from the company’s previous BalletCrypto.com domain.
