Hosting entrepreneur turned domain investor Brent Oxley has sold another domain name from his portfolio, weeks after securing payment plan deals for Limit.com and Storm.com. For Oxley and his portfolio, summer 2022 has been a busy time.
Oxley acquired Marina.com in mid-2020 for an undisclosed fee, with the domain commanding a $700,000 minimum offer value at Oxley’s Efty-hosted portfolio, Oxley.com.
Now, Marina.com has been transferred to a holding account operated by domain marketplace Sedo. The domain, meanwhile, hosts a landing page for what looks to be a marina rental company. The marina berth rental business is vast, with dozens of brokers and operators finding boat, yacht, and super yacht owners parking spots in marinas all over the world.
The sale of Marina.com was confirmed by Oxley, but he couldn’t comment on the price.
Given the fact that Marina.com is in a Sedo holding account, it is possible that the domain has been sold on another payment plan. While Sedo doesn’t officially offer payment plans through its platform, the company did confirm that they are available for some broker-facilitated domain deals.
