HostGator and Create.com founder Brent Oxley is well known within the domain name industry for amassing a portfolio filled with ultra-premium, one-word .com domains including Broker.com, Message.com, and Hybrid.com. Oxley regularly adds to his portfolio, but every so often, he sells a domain.
Recently, the domain Limit.com was sold from Oxley’s portfolio for an undisclosed fee. Based on available data, it looks like Oxley acquired Limit.com in 2020 for $120,000 via the Sedo marketplace.
After a hold time of under two years, Oxley sold the domain in a deal brokered by domain brokerage company Lumis. According to Archive.org, the domain held a minimum offer value of $300,000, but the domain name did sell on a payment plan.
As of publishing, the identity of the Limit.com buyer is unknown.
This isn’t the only one-word .com domain that Oxley has sold in recent months. Storm.com was sold to an upcoming NFT marketplace for an undisclosed fee. Again, the buyer acquiring the name on a payment plan.
