IT.com, a venture selling subdomains on the IT.com domain name has been on a mission to secure dozens of domain names related to its project.
Aside from its initial $3.8 million acquisition of IT.com, the company has acquired domain names such as IT.co.uk for $235,007, IT.tv for $83,160, and IT.cm for $38,500 in an effort to protect the central IT.com brand.
This week, Igor Furdyk, a broker working with IT.com on its acquisitions, confirmed to me that the company had secured another IT domain name in the form of IT.com.br for $20,000. The deal ranks as the joint fifth-largest .com.br sale of all time, according to NameBio. It is the second-largest of 2022, behind the $42,500 sale of Jogos.com.br.
Of course, IT.com.br now redirects to IT.com.
