Looks Like Side.com Changed Hands – From One Company to Another

Four-letter, single-word .com domains are some of the most exclusive and prized digital assets around. Thanks to the popularity of four-letter brand names and the scarcity of the matching .com domains, the sale of four-letter, single-word .com domains is usually noteworthy.

In 2022, we’ve seen the likes of Dune.com, Kiln.com, and Root.com change hands. It looks like another ultra-premium name has found a new home, too.

For years, Side.com was the digital shop front for SIDE, an award-winning audio supplier with locations in London, Los Angeles, and Shanghai. The company has worked primarily on gaming titles, including Hitman, Lego Star Wars, and The Witcher.

Earlier this year, though, SIDE moved from Side.com to SideGlobal.com, with Side.com redirecting to the company’s new destination for a matter of months.

By the end of April 2022, Archive.org records Side.com as redirecting to SideInc.com.

SideInc.com is home to Side, a real estate brokerage platform founded in 2017. The company has raised $313.5 million to date, including a $100 million venture round announced in June 2021.

An email to Side for confirmation of the acquisition of Side.com wasn’t responded to, but it does look like Side has secured the Side.com domain name, upgrading from SideInc.com.
